Hugo Serejo Genes
Is a Brazilian film director, writer, producer, editor based in New York. His work has screened and showcased in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, Museu do Índio Brazil, Duke's Kenan Center for Ethics, Cornell Cinema, The Guardian, Vice News, Seattle International Film Festival, DOC NYC, Hot DOCS, DCTV, & Spectacle Theater.
He holds an MFA in Nonfiction Filmmaking, and is currently a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center. His research investigates the social and ecological impacts of waterway plastic pollution.
